Immerse Yourself in Love as You Begin Your Day

May 20th, 2013 by thelandoflove

When you open your eyes in the morning, it’s so automatic to begin thinking about everything that seems to need your attention that day.  The people you’ll relate to, the places you’ll be, your activities at home or at work, all the problems you may face, your perception of the degree of peace and safety in your community and, perhaps, the world.  Like the rerun of an old familiar film, what you perceive appears so spontaneously, that it’s very easy to forget your responsibility for constructing the production you’re watching.

Rather than getting up, preparing to manage all of the elements of your personal reality with the limitations of your ego, you can choose instead to honor your relationship with the Inner Self, and the creative power that flows to you from this holy Source.

Close your eyes and see yourself on a large stage standing in front of heavy, red velvet curtains.  Imagine that beyond the stage you see the people and situations of your life and your world pictured before you.  Now, feel yourself decide to let the Inner Self transform your reality, making it a vehicle for the happiness you deserve.  Turn around and part the drapes, stepping into the darkness backstage.   Unzip your physical body, revealing the light body.  Sense a light in the distance and run to it.  Immerse yourself in this loving light, sensing your Oneness with Its limitless Love for you.  Now, still radiant in this light, go back to the curtains and step out onto the stage, flooding your world with Love.

Let this Light be your choice throughout the day.  And if it seems to fade, pump it up again!  Realize that you never create alone.  You are always creating your life either in partnership with the Inner Self or with the Ego.   Choose the Inner Self, then, and watch the Universe instantly adjust your experience to reflect the reality of Love.

Spring Forward – Four steps to transform the energy of a crisis into power for positive change.

Spring ForwardFour steps to transform the energy of a crisis into power for positive change.

When you open yourself to the reality of your spiritual identity, the initial impact of awakening can be thrilling!  The prospect of consciously using your spiritual abilities to create change in your life will probably lead you to try to learn everything you can about this process.  Practicing meditation, guided imagery and other techniques for exploring your inner world and your relationship with the Inner Self, will bring many of the results you desire into manifestation.  And for some period of time, you will probably become increasingly confident that things in your life are working well, and attribute your success to your enriched spiritual life.

Until you get sick –  or experience a sudden financial reversal or a crisis in a relationship or in some other area of your life.  It’s at this point you may find yourself tempted to throw away all you’ve learned, and return to familiar sources of ‘real’ help.  You may not even realize you are making a choice to ignore your relationship with your Inner Self, in favor of the rants of your ego telling you that you cannot rely on spiritual resources.  You must, it insists, stop this nonsense about being powerful, and accept that you are weak and undeserving of such power.

Now, I am not suggesting you not see a doctor if you’re sick.  Or that you refuse to take other steps you see as necessary, given your assessment of the problem.  However, realize that your spiritual practice is meant to deepen your connection to the Inner Self and Its power in your life.  Its energy should be used in conjunction with other problem solving efforts, so that you learn to use it automatically for whatever difficulties you face.

Here are four steps to help you turn the energy of a crisis into power for positive change:

  1. Directly honor whatever feelings you experience as you encounter the problem.   You might say, emphatically, “Yes…there it is again!  I feel this fear (anxiety, anger etc….).
  2. Then say, “But it is my right to peace, and this is a violation of that right!”
  3. Then close your eyes, breathe deeply and open the energy center above your head to receive the flood of golden white light that comes to you from the Inner Self.
  4. Sense the loving energy that flows to you, and let yourself feel both deserving and grateful for the support of the Inner Self.

Through this process, you infuse the solutions conceived by your personality, with the infinitely diverse resources of the Inner Self.  As you watch the situation unfold, you may see answers you would not have dreamed were possible.
